Change is constant in our lives. All around us, technologies, processes, people, ideas and methods often change, affecting the way we perform daily tasks and live our lives. Having a smooth transition when change occurs is important in any situation.

The Change Management training will give any leader the tools to implement changes more smoothly and to have those changes better accepted. This training will also give all participants an understanding of how change is implemented and some tools for managing their reactions to change.

DAY ONE: Change Management Fundamentals

  • What is change and why people resist
  • The implication of change as it affects individuals and organisation
  • Change management process
  • Analysing the situation (the implications, benefits, resources needed, training required etc.)
  • Identifying possible obstacles to change initiatives
  • The competencies required to lead change successfully (being an effective change agent)
  • Assessing your change management competencies.
  • Case Study

DAY TWO: Managing Change

  • Developing a change management plan
  • Developing a communication plan
  • Getting the buy-in of the team
  • Creating a sense of urgency
  • Implementing the plans
  • Control, monitoring and support
  • Motivating/rewarding team members
  • Gathering data
  • Addressing concerns and issues
  • Evaluating and adapting
  • Making change a part of the culture

Objectives of Programme

At the end of the Programme participants should be able to:

 

  • Explore a range of change approaches and techniques to use in leading complex change
  • Increase their awareness of how they and others respond to change, at an individual, team and system level
  • Learn to adapt their change leadership to emerging issues
  • Develop their confidence as a leader and initiator of change
  • Apply different change approaches to their current change challenges
  • Develop a change management & communications plan
  • Gain skills required to lead a change project
  • Master strategies to align people with change, appealing to emotions & fact
  • Understand the importance of flexibility and how to foster this strategy throughout a change project
