Social Media Intern: Sportsmata

Job Description

  • Manage the social media account of the Sports news blog – Sportsmata.com
  • Post regular updates (Videos, photos etc) of interesting sports/football information, banter and news on the Sportsmata Facebook page
  • Schedule content from the Sportsmata blog on the Facebook page 
  • Manage presence in social networking sites mainly Facebook
  • Become an advocate of the Blog in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate (If necessary)
  • Initiate and manage promotions and campaigns to grow fans on the Facebook and other social media pages of the blog
  • Be responsible for growing the Facebook community of the Sportsmata blog
  • Keep abreast of latest trends in social media tools, trends and applications
  • Contribute articles to the Sportsmata blog (optional)

Candidate Requirements:

  • Fresh Graduates, NYSC Corpers
  • Strong social media interest and skills (especially Facebook)
  • Ability to generate content and followership on social media platforms
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective participants (Facebook)
  • Knowledge of blogging ecosystem relevant to Sportsmata
  • Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and verbal format, build and maintain relationships.
