Business Development Officer: STRONG Technologies

Job Description

A leader in Satellite receiving Equipment Company is seeking for a highly motivated, customer service focused, self-driven, organized Salesman / Business Development Officer to join our team. The BDO will be responsible for building, maintaining and developing sales relationships with digital television receiving equipment dealers and distributors in the Northern area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fulfilling dealers and distributor’s orders of satellite receiving equipment
  • Liaising with logistic department to check the progress of existing orders
  • Building a trustful relationship with existing dealers and distributors
  • Coordinating with multiple dealers to combine sales orders
  • Acquiring new dealers / distributors
  • Screening the market / competition and regularly update the management on new products, new competitors and price changes
  • Alerting the management on counterfeit products / bad business practices
  • Proposing new products to sell, new sales ideas
  • Cold calling to arrange meetings with potential customers to prospect for new business
  • Advising on forthcoming product developments

REQUIREMENTS:

Skills & Knowledge

  • Highly motivated and dynamic
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office suite.
  • Fast learner, especially in the telecommunication and satellite receiving equipment field.
  • Self-driven and well organized
  • Highly customer service focused
  • Effective communicator
  • Charismatic and naturally persuasive
  • Person of integrity and trust
  • Fluent in English (and Pidgin)

Experience and qualification

  • HND/ BSC in Social science field.
  • Ideally minimum 2-3 years of strong experience as a salesman
