Biomedical Engineer: alston consulting

A UK based medical team is setting up a world class diagnostic centre in Lekki, Nigeria and the above position is available. Qualified and experienced candidates for this job should send their Cover letter and CV to the Consultant. Deadline for applications is 4pm on July 29, 2016.

Important: Applicants must live within easy commute to the Lekki environs and must be prepared to work Monday – Saturday.


  • Advise and assist in the application of instrumentation in clinical environments.
  • Design, develop and assess medical diagnostic and clinical instrumentation, equipment and procedures, utilising the principles of engineering and bio-behavioral sciences.
  • Evaluate the safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of biomedical equipment.
  • Install, adjust, maintain, and/or repair biomedical equipment.


  • Liaising with technicians, manufacturers and clinicians to ensure feasibility of product in terms of design and maintenance
  • Dealing with technical queries of equipment and ensuring thorough and timed resolution
  • Keeping up to date with new developments in the  field
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Testing and maintaining clinical equipment
  • Must be computer literate and ability to work independently


Bachelor degree or HND/OND (upper) in a related field such as Biomedical engineering/Physics/Nuclear Medicine/Medical Electronics/Medical equipment

Management Desirable

Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience

Computer Literate

 Hours of work:

Monday to Friday

08:30 to 18:30

Saturday 08:30 – 11:45

Some work outside of these hours can be expected.
