The Knowledge Exchange Centre Annual Scholarship Award Programme is an initiative instituted to support young, enterprising but disadvantaged Nigerians to acquire skills and knowledge that improves their employability.
The award provides full scholarship for the beneficiary to participate in the Executive Master in Development Policies and Practices (DPP) at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, University of Geneva, Switzerland.
The condition for the scholarship is that the student's thesis must be relevant to the vision of the KEC and in alignment with contemporary African developmental agenda, which currently focuses on employment generation and poverty reduction.
This scholarship is open to all Nigerians and English-speaking West-Africans.
KEC awarded its first Annual Scholarship to the DPP Programme in July 2016. The award recipient was Ms. Benedict Ebiere Ayerite whose professional thesis was on "Youth unemployment, an impending doom to sustainable economic development in Africa: Nigerian scenario". The entry into the 2016/17 scholarship award for the DPP programme was opened to participants from English-speaking West African countries. Over 400 applications were received out of which 182 applications came from Nigeria alone.
We wish all future applicants success as they apply for this scholarship award to the prestigious DPP programme.
